Creative thoughts...by Geordie!

The other day Geordie took out his lawn mower and started to cut the 'grass'. He did the backyard and then came to the front. By the time he got to the front he was shirtless...

Me: "Geordie, why is your shirt off?"

Geordie: stopped, looked at me as if I was crazy,
"I'm cutting the grass Mummy!"...and went on with his work.

-------
To begin, all Geordie knows of adoption is that our good friends adopted from Guatemala. Thing is, I don't even think we really used the term adoption. So, a little confused as to where this came from...

Geordie; "...babies come from Mummy's tummy...that's how babies are made...they can only be made in Mummy's tummy's! Well, that and you can get babies from Chinese!"

Me: "I'm sorry, you can get babies from Chinese?"

Geordie: "Yeah... you can get babies from Chinese. You know, the place!"

Me: "Do you mean China?"

Geordie: "Oh yes, China, sorry."

Me: "So you are saying that you can only get babies from Mummy's tummies and if not there than you can get them from China?"

Geordie: "Yup!"

Me: "Where did you hear that?"

Geordie: "I just fingered it out, all by myself!"

The only thing that we can 'finger' out is that he thought of this after hearing everyone go on about how everything is made in China.

-------
The other night just before bath;

Geordie: "Daddy doesn't wash my hair on Tuesday's or Thursday's or...what's today?"

Me: "Saturday"

Geordie: "...or Saturday!"

-------
Coming back from school the other day Geordie was telling me of an experiment with ice and salt.

Geordie: "...but if you eat a lot of salt you'll die and need to get flowers and put you underground."

------
This is Geordie's hamper.
It usually 'lives' in his closet.
When it is full he takes it and puts it here.
To the left is his bedroom.
To the right is ours.
He used to put it right beside my bed.

"just to make sure you see it, Mummy!"

Hmmm...I wonder what salt experiment was. I'll have to remember to ask Ali about that. He's so funny and incredibly bright. I love how he "fingered" it out all by himself.

OMG I am laughing so hard right now!!! I miss my kids being little enough to say these kinds of awesome things! (my daughter still does sometimes, but not often enough anymore!)
